This includes coaching, leadership, mentoring student-athletes, involved in the youth football program and promoting a culture of teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and academic success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coaching and Player Development:
- Plan, organize, and oversee all practices, games, and team events.
- Teach fundamental football skills, strategies, and techniques to enhance player development.
- Foster a positive and competitive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and growth.
- Develop game plans, playbooks, and strategies tailored to the team's strengths and opponents.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to individual athletes.
- Promote injury prevention and safety by enforcing proper techniques and conditioning.
Program Management:
- Oversee all levels of the football program, including varsity, junior varsity, and feeder programs.
- Recruit, mentor, and supervise assistant coaches to ensure program consistency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, budgeting, transportation, and equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of football equipment, uniforms, and supplies; ensure proper care and storage.
- Implement and enforce program and school policies regarding behavior, academics, and eligibility.
Student-Athlete Development and Mentorship:
- Serve as a role model, emphasizing character, leadership, responsibility, and integrity.
- Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes in partnership with teachers and parents.
- Encourage a healthy balance between academics, athletics, and personal well-being.
Communication and Community Engagement:
- Foster positive relationships with parents, teachers, staff, and the broader school community.
- Promote the football program through community involvement, fundraising, and positive representation.
- Work with booster clubs and school administration to support program growth and success.
Compliance and Professionalism:
- Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and state athletic association rules and regulations.
- Maintain professional development by attending coaching clinics, workshops, and training sessions.
- Uphold high standards of ethical conduct and sportsmanship.

Education/Experience:

Certifications/Requirements:
- Must possess or obtain appropriate coaching certifications (NFHS).
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances.
Working Conditions:
- Requires evening, weekend, and holiday work for practices, games, and related events.
- Physically demanding, including standing for long periods and physical demonstration of skills.
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated annually by the Athletic Director and/or Principal based on program goals, team success, and adherence to school policies.
