Vascular Ultrasound Technician - Elmhurst - Tandym Group : Job Details

A healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a new Vascular Ultrasound Technician to join their team in Queens.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm
• Setting: Acute Care
• Department: Ultrasound Diagnostic

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations
• Operate and maintain ultrasound and plethysmography equipment
• Perform sonographic examinations on patients to develop vascular images
• Use high-frequency sound waves to generate images of patients' blood vessels
• Ensure that patients are prepped for examinations
• Perform ultrasound scans and analyze the sonograms for diagnostic purposes
• Prepare and update patients' medical records
• Ensuring that the lab, examination rooms, tools, and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained
• Generate analytical reports and documentation from sonogram results
• Assist the Physicians with reviewing and interpreting ultrasound images
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of Non-Invasive Vascular Ultrasound experience
• Associate's Degree
• RDMS issued by ARDMS
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Experience in Vascular studies for Arterial and Venous Testing

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree
• BLS certification
