Vegetation Management Analyst - Filsinger Energy Partners : Job Details

The Vegetation Management Analyst will work closely with an integrated team to perform a wide range of assignments for clients in the energy sector, including:

• Identify opportunities for improving safety.
• Report unsafe working conditions, work practices, and potential hazards.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle for travel to assigned work areas.
• Conduct and support vegetation management field inspections for electric facilities.
• Identification of electric transmission, substation, and distribution facilities.
• Identification of vegetation/conductor clearances.
• Document and report hazard trees that threaten electric facilities using tree risk assessment principles.
• Participate in daily safety briefing meetings.
• Identification of native and landscape tree species.
• Audit completed utility vegetation inspection and/or line clearance contractor field work for compliance with Client's specifications and procedures.
• Use of various arboricultural tools.

• Preferred location is California or Colorado. Other western states will be considered.

• Bachelor's degree in forestry, urban forestry, arboriculture, or closely related field preferred.
• In lieu of a bachelor's degree, applicable experience working for a utility or utility contractor in vegetation management will be considered.
• ISA Certified Arborist preferred.
• 0-5 years' experience in electric utility vegetation management.

The estimated compensation range for this position is $50,000 to $97,000/year for a full-time, exempt position. FEP takes into consideration a candidate's education, training, and experience, as well as the employee's work location.
