Vehicle Dismantler and Shop Helper - Full Time - Immediate HiringDrivergent Transportation is a Metro Detroit school transportation company looking for motivated, experienced school bus mechanic who want to join our team.As a Vehicle Dismantler and Shop Helper for Drivergent Transportation, you will play a critical role in our maintenance team. The Dismantler is responsible for properly removing all high-quality vehicle parts and usable core parts in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who must work in a fast-paced environment, a hardworking, dedicated vehicle dismantler who can successfully meet production quota.Excelling at this position you must be able to multitask, communicate well with others, and have hands-on vehicle repair experience with a knowledge of vehicular operations. Additionally, this role will also support and assist our vehicle maintenance team, as well as a variety of other general shop related activities.Specific ResponsibilitiesDismantle vehicles within the suggested time constraints in a safety-conscious manner.The dismantling and removal of parts must be done in a manner to ensure the part can be reused in proper working order.Draining all fluids in the proper areas and disposing of them, to we have no contamination.Label and tag parts to be placed into stock.Check the quality and product type of the parts.Clean parts after removal as directedSort, organize and store parts in designated areaMaintain and protect all utilized toolsOther duties as assignedSpecific RequirementsMeet all general qualifications for employment.Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.Meet company standards for criminal history check.Physical RequirementsMust be able to physically perform the following duties with or without accommodation: Operate a variety of automotive machines, mechanics tools, and equipment. Utilize hand and power tools safely and correctly.Must be able to use body members to work; lift, push, pull, move, or carry heavy objects or materials.Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 35 to 50 pounds of force frequently.
