Job DescriptionPRI is seeking a qualified
Vehicle Maintenance Quality Assurance Evaluator for a potential Base Logistics Services Contract. This position ensures the effective maintenance and operational readiness of military vehicles by assessing maintenance procedures, diagnosing fleet issues, and ensuring compliance with Air Force standards. The role emphasizes fostering a culture of excellence in fleet reliability, safety, and mission readiness.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Fleet Maintenance Oversight:
- Evaluate vehicle maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with Air Force directives and technical standards.
- Assess the effectiveness of diagnostic and repair processes for military vehicles and associated equipment.
- Inspection and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quality evaluations of vehicle maintenance activities, including scheduled services, unscheduled repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Utilize Air Force checklists, technical orders, and regulations to perform inspections and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Document findings, observations, and recommendations in designated QA systems.
- Diagnostic and Repair Compliance:
- Review diagnostic processes and confirm proper identification of mechanical and electrical issues.
- Evaluate the repair and replacement of vehicle components to ensure adherence to technical guidelines and safety standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze maintenance data, trends, and performance metrics to identify deficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Training and Guidance:
- Provide targeted training to maintenance personnel to address identified deficiencies and improve technical skills.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in vehicle maintenance, offering mentorship and operational support to maintenance teams.
- Program Management:
- Oversee self-inspection programs for vehicle maintenance operations and manage inspection tracking databases.
- Ensure maintenance activities meet contract performance objectives and service delivery summaries.
- Safety and Incident Reporting:
- Monitor adherence to safety protocols during maintenance activities and promptly report incidents or hazards.
- Work with leadership to implement corrective actions for safety or compliance issues.
- Operational Readiness:
- Assess vehicle readiness and ensure fleet availability aligns with mission requirements.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to optimize maintenance schedules and fleet availability.
Requirements
- Mandatory:
- Extensive experience in Air Force Vehicle Maintenance operations, including diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency in Air Force Base-Level Support Applications and maintenance management systems.
- Valid state driver's license and the ability to operate military vehicles.
- Preferred:
- 15+ years of experience in Air Force Vehicle Maintenance.
- Completion of advanced training in vehicle maintenance and diagnostic systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, diagnostics, and Air Force technical standards.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate maintenance data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with maintenance teams and leadership.
- Proficiency in using maintenance and diagnostic software systems.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting up to 35 pounds, and working in various maintenance environments.
- Maintain a high level of mental alertness and situational awareness in operational and maintenance settings.

- Ability to obtain access to military installations and reliable transportation.
