Five years or more experience working in vendor/client relationsRequired License or CertificationPosition Overview Primary Purpose of Position This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive person to manage and optimize long-term and short-term vending on campus to include but not limited to beverage, snacks, laundry services, atm machines, and event day vending registration/set-up. It is responsible for working with business partners/vendors on product movement, routine cleaning and maintenance, equipment replacement, contract compliance and revenue generations. This role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric mindset.Primary Function of Organizational Unit Campus Enterprises is a visible support unit on the campus providing essential services to students, faculty, staff, parents and visitors. Campus Enterprises is comprised of the University's self supporting entities. The strategic goal of Campus Enterprises encompasses achieving operation excellence, generating revenue, and providing outstanding customer service satisfaction. In addition, Campus Enterprises provides management support to the intercollegiate athletic program to efficiently and effectively preserve athletic resources as well as fiscal oversight to the Division of Student Affairs and all student driven entities. Organizationally, Campus Enterprises reside in the Division of Business and Finance. The Associate Vice Chancellor reports to the Vice Chancellor of Business and Finance. The Department serves a vast and diverse customer-base that consists of eight functional units: Dining Services, Aggie OneCard, University Bookstore, Ticket Office, Mail Center, Vending, Concession and Parking & Transportation Services.Work Hours schedule will vary according to needs of the operation. Maybe required to work weekends and eveningsIs this position eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies.Key Responsibilities and Related Competencies Required Competency Program KnowledgeDuties * Manage the day-to-day processes of the vending operations to include but not limited to snack & beverage machines/sales, laundry services, atm machines and short-term event day vending * Conduct regular inspections and maintenance check on vending machines, laundry machines, and atm to ensure functionality and cleanliness * Implement strategies to optimize vending revenue generation * Responsible for monitoring products stocked in snack & beverage machines for price accuracy * Responsible for providing authorization to vendors for approved equipment locations, removal and cleanliness of machines in all University locations * Stay up to date on industry trends, technological advancements, pricing trends, and best practices in vending operations * Responsible for holding vendors accountable for items per contractual obligations * Responsible for managing donation requests and responding in a timely manner to all requests * Responsible for managing short-term vending for campus events to include but not limited athletic events, and student events. Including registration, payments, issuing vending permit and event day on-site check-in processRequired Competency Managing Work ProcessesDuties * Responsible for working with vendors in regards to pricing and product recommendations per contract timeline and securing approvals prior to the start of each academic year * Responsible for coordinating meetings per agreements to review performance, discuss marketing, growth strategy and other items related to account with the Director of Retail Operations for Campus Enterprises * Maintain reports tracking equipment calls and repairs on all machines. Work with vendors to replace frequent malfunctioning machines * Responsible for reporting product outages, damages, repairs and vandalism of equipment to the vendor. Also, will inform University police department of vandalism of equipment and send a copy of report to vendor * They will be responsible for generating a schedule and communicating it with the vendor(s) to maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment * This person will be responsible for communicating to vendor(s) when building will be off-line, closed and/or under construction.
