Join our multinational team of intelligent, motivated, and collaborative people, and help us make financial protection accessible to all.A Brief OverviewThis Vendor Relationship Manager is responsible for developing value-based relationships with vendors (suppliers) that are strategic to RGA's growth. This role plays a vital part in ensuring efficient and effective supplier performance, mitigating risks and supporting long term company goals.What you will do
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Sourcing/Procurement, Global Security Office, Global Technology, etc.) to evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate and manage contract administration, improve vendor performance metrics, etc.
  • Conduct vendor (supplier) performance reviews, attend supplier meetings/visits and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Support delivery of category strategy, as appropriate, for each vendor (supplier) relationship. Remain current on category trends, emerging risks, and industry developments.
  • Execute supplier assessments and reassessments using Aravo.
  • Manage contracts and corresponding contractual obligations using Sirion.
  • Participate in the RFx process and support purchasing functions using Coupa.
  • Proactively track of internal usage of preferred suppliers, contracted pricing, actual spending against contracted agreements.
  • Analyze spend, pursue and track savings and/or avoidance, and investigate and resolve purchase price variance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance or a related field. required
  • 5+ Years of experience in Sourcing, Purchasing or Vendor (Supplier) Relationship Management. required
  • 8+ Years relevant experience preferred
  • Insurance or Reinsurance experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology, professional services and/or contingent labor categories. required
  • Proven record of negotiating contracts, reducing costs and improving supplier performance required
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple relationships simultaneously. required
  • Strong knowledge of the entire vendor (supplier) relationship lifecycle. required
  • Able to work with minor direct supervision. required
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, participate in departmental/team projects, and balance detail with department objectives. required
  • Must be flexible and adaptive to change. required
  • Ability to work effectively and strategically at all levels of the organization. required
  • Takes leadership and ownership of projects and initiatives. required
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. preferred
  • Proficient in Aravo, Sirion and or Coupa. preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. preferred
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement. preferred
  • Broad business and finance related knowledge. preferred

Compensation Range:$101,685.00 - $151,435.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
