Duties:
- Lead deal teams and manage transactions from inception through closing.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients on venture capital and emerging company matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including investment agreements, shareholder agreements, and corporate governance documents.
- Conduct due diligence and advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Collaborate with clients to develop creative solutions to meet their business objectives and legal needs.
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams across the firm's capabilities and practice areas.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments in the venture capital sector.
Requirements:
- 4 years of solid venture capital industry experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead deal teams and manage transactions from inception through closing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong client-facing skills with a demonstrated ability to deal directly with clients.
- Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs.
- Excellent team player skills with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility to engage and collaborate across the Firm's capabilities and practice areas.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including cap table, exit waterfall, and other financial modeling tools.
- Bar membership in good standing in CA.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active Bar membership in good standing in California.
Skills:
