We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Venue Manager with a strong focus on sales to join our team. This role will be crucial in driving revenue growth and maintaining the excellence of our venue.

Position Overview:

The Venue Manager will spearhead the sales efforts for our venue while ensuring its upkeep and marketability. This role combines strategic sales management with a strong sense of ownership of the venue, and includes supervising one direct report. The ideal candidate will be a sales-oriented professional with a proven track record in achieving revenue targets and building client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Working with the Director of Sales, develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize venue bookings and revenue.
  • Drive sales efforts by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and client leads.
  • Cultivate relationships with potential and existing clients to secure repeat business and referrals.
  • Conduct engaging venue tours and presentations to showcase the venue's unique features and benefits.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to meet sales targets while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and adjust tactics as needed.

Client Relations and Contract Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing their inquiries and ensuring a seamless booking process.
  • Customize event packages and pricing options to meet client needs and budget constraints.
  • Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and maintain feedback mechanisms to continually enhance the client experience.
  • When necessary, act as main event coordinator for events by overseeing the planning and execution of events, ensuring all client requirements and venue capabilities are met.

Venue Operations and Maintenance:

  • Working with the facilities department, ensure the venue is maintained at the highest standards, providing a clean, functional, and appealing environment for events.
  • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of cleaning services.
  • Monitor and address any operational issues that may impact the client experience or venue performance.
  • Maintain venue equipment inventory and communicate venue equipment needs with the facilities department

Venue Coordinator Management:

  • Supervise and support the Venue Coordinator, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure coordination services and expectations are being communicated and adhered to.
  • Collaborate with event coordinators to develop detailed event plans, including setup and logistics.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth venue operations and high team productivity.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Financial Oversight:

  • Working with the Director of Sales, track and manage the venue's financial performance, including revenue generation and expense control.
  • Analyze financial reports to evaluate sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies and promotions to attract new clients and increase bookings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in venue sales, event management, or a related role, with at least 3-5 years of experience.
  • Strong sales skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent event planning and management skills, with a track record of successfully executing a variety of events
  • Proficient in sales management software (HubSpot preferred), event management systems, and Google Workspace.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Experience in team management and leadership.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $78,500.00 per year
