Position Title: Venue Merchandise Specialist (part time)

Important Note: This position is part-time/seasonal with hours beginning in May of 2024 and working through October of 2024.

Job Description

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

Objectives of the Role

• Provide an exceptional merchandise purchasing experience for all guests and fans in Live Nation venues.
• Fulfill the order of guests in a timely fashion, ensuring they receive the correct items and sizes as requested.
• Accurately ring-up guest purchases in Live Nations sales system.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Live Nation, its local sponsors, and the venue.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in inventory count-in and count-out procedures.
• Create visually appealing displays and price items correctly.
• Complete sales transactions for each guest.
• Support successful sales operations at each event.
• Contribute to a positive work environment.
• Perform physical duties as required by the role, such as moving equipment or transferring merchandise between locations.
• Take direction from their supervisor, the venues Merchandise Manager.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Skills & Qualifications

• Detail oriented, supporting accuracy and completeness in order fulfillment.
• Quick thinking and able to respond to guest requests.
• Guest oriented, focusing on their requests.
• Team-driven, working as part of a larger unit.
• Ability to interact with guests politely.
• Self-starters that do not require significant supervision.
• Basic math skills addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Experience

• Guest service positions desirable.
• Retail sales backgrounds not necessary.
• Positions that leverage customer service or hospitality.
• Prior experience is not as important as the appropriate attitude and interpersonal skills.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to be available for the entire concert day, with shifts as long as 15 hours (with breaks).
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to a 50-pound box.
• Must be able to work in outdoor environments in potential extreme temperatures.
• Must have a working understanding of touch-screen based systems.
• Must be of legal working age in the state.
