THE JOB

Venue Operations Manager

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Works directly with the Department Heads to perform day of show duties
  • Hold department staff meetings to keep everyone informed of our problems/progress
  • Maintain open door policy with staff
  • Respond to all elevated staff/guest inquiries and or concerns regarding all shows, artist meet and greet packages, amenities, as well as our VIP program and seat upgrades
  • Work through and correct guest concerns and complaints regarding security and customer service-related situations
  • Perform opening/running/closing duties according to Live Nation policy
  • Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to team members
  • Ensure proper line of sight maintenance by all staff at all points of guest contact as well as maintaining the security of Back of House areas
  • Meet or exceed budgetary expectations on all associated line items
  • Responsible for managing labor cost through proper staffing and schedule management
  • Complete required paperwork in timely manner
  • Assist with monthly building inventory
  • Supervision of hourly staff, supervisors and managers.
  • Monitor progress of staff & management. Follow up/follow through to support to assist subordinates in reaching goals (continual coaching and guidance)
  • Develop ongoing training of staff as needed
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels - hiring, terminations, maintain disciplinary documentation, ensure complete and thorough training of all staff and management
  • Attends venue level operations meetings on weekly or regular basis as outlined by General Manager
  • Completes payroll for hourly union and non-union staff
  • Maintain Live Nation Service Standards
  • Conduct walk through on day of show with maintenance, security and guest services to ensure venue is set and ready for doors
  • Meet or exceed health and safety requirements
  • Compile incident report logs
  • Complete any workers compensation paperwork as needed and follow through with process
  • Lead daily pre-shift and post-shift meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Required:

  • Skills in guest relations/staff relations- Assessing and anticipating special needs of guests
  • Prioritization of duties and effective communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/issues at one time effectively, with an upbeat attitude
  • Read guests in order to anticipate their needs
  • Turn potentially negative situations into positive ones
  • Communicate well with team members and managers and foster an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge

Preferred:

  • Experience in a live music environment
  • College diploma in related field

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
  • Flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends)
  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs using proper lifting techniques

The expected compensation for this position is:

$24.00 USD - $30.00 USD Hourly
