Job Description:
What you'll be doing:
- Handle setting spare parts for new manufacturing equipment as it arrives.
- Collaborate with equipment makers to verify equipment parts and address any questions regarding equipment specifications.
- Manage spare parts inventory and work through model numbers to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee spare parts ordering and stocking for North America.
- Regularly interact with internal teams such as Manufacturing Engineering (PE), and Manufacturing Maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
- Work through technical catalogs and equipment drawings to ensure parts verification.
- Handle travel within the United States, approximately twice a year, for meetings and to observe equipment 1-2 months after joining.
Business Purpose:
- Ensure the proper verification and stocking of spare parts for new production equipment.
- Maintain operational efficiency by ensuring timely availability of equipment parts for maintenance and production needs.
Team Dynamics:
- You will work alongside a mix of analysts, engineers, and verification specialists in a collaborative environment.
- The team focuses on managing spare parts and production equipment to meet the company's operational needs.
Key Interactions:
- Interact with internal teams such as Manufacturing Engineering (PE) and Manufacturing Maintenance to ensure parts are aligned with production needs.
- Communicate with equipment makers and manufacturers to verify part specifications and address any concerns or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings and technical catalogs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as needed within the U.S. for meetings and equipment observation
Requirements (Must have) :
- Designate and confirm standard attributes for each new part procurement and maintenance functional requirement.
- Review and verify specifications for all newly submitted parts. Collaborate with Production Engineering, Maintenance, and Equipment Vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
- Assign appropriate Noun/Modifier/UNSPSC codes to parts and ensure no duplicates exist in the system.
- Manage projects efficiently by overseeing assigned deliverables and providing regular updates to management.
- Handle multiple projects related to Unit and Vehicle Plants concurrently.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks related to part procurement, equipment maintenance, and project coordination.
- Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth workflow and resolve issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Basic MS Excel skills required.
- Strong project management skills and ability to self-manage multiple simultaneous deliverables.
- Prior experience in manufacturing equipment, equipment maintenance, or engineering, especially within automotive manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in maintenance of new and old equipment (former maintenance member or engineer).
- Knowledge or experience in motors, robotics, or manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience in Automotive manufacturing equipment maintenance or engineering is a significant advantage.
Education:
- Recent graduates with a background in manufacturing, motors, robotics, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Working Conditions:
- This is a dynamic role requiring the candidate to juggle multiple projects, particularly in the Unit and Vehicle Plants.
