The District Manager has responsibility to lead, direct, and motivate all Sales, Branch, Operating and Administrative associates throughout the District to achieve the highest safety performance, sales & margin growth, expense control, EBITDA performance and operational excellence. The District Manager is responsible for executing plans and strategies designed to meet or exceed our customer's and business expectations. The District Manager has full P&L responsibility for their district. The pay offered for this role is $90,000- $115,000 with 25% bonus plan and car allowance.
  • Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Actively engaging as a leader to ensure a safe working environment at all Airgas facilities and that each associate is demonstrating safe behaviors at all times.
  • Lead the district to achieve financial expectations to include: Sales and margin growth, managed operating expenses and year-over-year vertical ratio improvement. Drive market leading sales and gross margin growth through your direct sales team and branches while ensuring sound sales behaviors are employed.
  • Execute on plans to meet or exceed strategic pricing targets.
  • The District Manager is expected to build direct relationships with key customers throughout the district.
  • Ensure a culture of effortless customer experience exists throughout the district.
  • Work with area branch coordinators to maintain proper inventory levels at all locations, to include gases, thereby ensuring the highest levels or order and delivery fulfillment.
  • Ensure that branch and field sales associates are adequately trained to deliver on our customers' needs and requirements.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork and communication across the region to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
  • Engage all associates to ensure they reach their full potential. ________________________ Are you a MATCH? Required Education:
    • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Sales Management, Engineering, or related field. At least 3-4 years of directly related industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Required Length & Type of Experience:
      • Three to five years of sales or sales management experience in a business-to-business sales environment, a Branch or Plant leadership role, or comparable experience within the distribution industry. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA's):
        • Proficient working with personal computer applications such as SAP, Salesforce and Google G Suite (email, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.).
        • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
        • Team player; strong collaboration skills; ability to influence.
        • Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds within Airgas and outside the Company.
