VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST - URGENT CARE to join our team!
Location: 2129 NJ-35, Se Girt, NJ 08750
Shift Details: This is a part-time position (under 30 hours/week). This is a Saturday Only position. The shift is 8:00 am - 8:00 pm on Saturdays. May move into Sunday as well.
Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 / hr (based on experience)
What We Are Looking For: We are seeking a part-time veterinary receptionist with a special interest in urgent care. The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of a veterinary hospital, including vaccines, medications, and procedures. This person must confidently and efficiently manage the daily schedule. Coverage is needed from 8 am to 8 pm on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Hospital Highlights: Sea Girt Animal Hospital is a 5-doctor facility treating dogs, cats, and exotic pets. Our team distinguishes us from other local animal hospitals, offering services like ultrasound, laser therapy, and some oncology. We're excited to announce weekend Urgent Care to address non-emergency but urgent issues such as vomiting, diarrhea, minor wounds, limping, eye injuries, and sudden behavior changes. This service ensures timely evaluation and treatment to prevent complications or alleviate discomfort.
We have a lot of great in-house lab equipment, including the new Imagyst, an artificially intelligent cytology reader that handles ear cytologies, fecals, urines, and fine needle aspirates.
We are working on becoming a Fear Free certified practice and will pay for you to complete the Fear Free training. We strive to have animals participate in their own medical care when possible and work hard to alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress in pets. Our goal is for pets to enjoy coming to see us.

Job Summary: The Receptionist is the first and last contact that a client will have with the hospital and a key to creating first and lasting impressions. The Receptionist must have exceptional client service and communication skills, computer literacy, ability to handle payment and financial issues, ability to multi-task, a friendly attitude and confidence to deal with stressful situations. The Receptionist will support veterinarians, technicians, veterinary assistants, groomers and kennel staff in daily patient and client care.
