Title: Vice President Finance & Accounting - Homebuilding

Location: Austin, Texas

Package: $160,000 - $220,000 + 30%-40% Annual Bonus - (financial matrix based)

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing lenders and negotiating terms of financing for vertical construction and development projects.
  • Collaborating with business units and acting as advisor to provide leaders with practical advice and insights.
  • Leading, developing and providing guidance to regional accounting team, including organization and assignment of work while ensuring high standard of performance.
  • Establishing and managing banking relationships for treasury functions.
  • Liaising closely with the Regional Vice President and Corporate Controller to establish protocols, ensuring operations comply with regional and corporate objectives, policies and procedures. Reviewing forecasts, proposals, and agreements for land development, home building, and investment projects, including monitoring and managing cash flows. Monitoring on-going compliance with the terms of business loans and operating lines.
  • Working closely with business units to prepare status reports on joint venture projects and foster relationships with business partners.
  • Supporting the regional budgeting and consolidation processes. Preparing annual financial plans and reports, providing tax and audit information as required.
  • Acting as a Regional Compliance Officer to ensure homebuilding and development activities comply with US standards, legislation, and provide regular reporting to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
  • Overseeing payroll operations and accounting.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience working within a senior management level finance / accounting role in the Homebuilding / Real Estate Development industry.
  • Ideally able to demonstrate experience obtaining finance & credit lines, having worked with private lenders on loans for horizontal and vertical construction.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
