[email protected] SUMMARY/SCOPE:The Vice President for Accreditation develops,coordinates, and implements a broad range of high-level projects aligned withinstitutional accreditation, program accreditation, institutional goals, and strategicplanning. The position reports to the President and serves as a member of thePresident's Cabinet.HSU JOB FAMILY CLASSIFICATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These examples do not include all possibletasks & do not limit the assignment of related tasks.TheVice President for Accreditation will oversee the following functional areas incollaboration with the President: Accreditationleadership, coordination and advising on SACSCOC (40%) - Serves as Institutional Accreditation Liaison for SACSCOC. Recommends development and modification of University-wide policies andprocedures as they pertain to SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation, policies,and guidelines.Leadsthe Universities comprehensive SACSCOC reaffirmation efforts and help preparefor off-site and on-site accreditation visits.ProvidesUniversity-wide support for the development and institutionalization of theQuality Enhancement Plan.Coordinatesperiodic SACSCOC reports, including the Annual Profile, Fifth Year InterimReport, and any other reports required by the Commission.Overseesthe management of the University's Substantive Change procedures and developsmechanisms for the reporting of Substantive Change.CommitteeWork (20%) - Chairs Assessment of Learning Outcomes Committee and works with programdirectors and coordinators to report data appropriately.Participatesin the Administrative Council, the Deans Council, the Academic Committee, theGraduate Council, and the General Education Committee. StrategicPlan Oversight (20%) - Works with other vice presidents to maintain strategic plan data and presentquarterly reports to the cabinet.Coordinates Accreditation Calendar and Assistance with SpecializedAccreditation (20%) - Collaborates with deans and schools seeking specialized program accreditationand coordinates alignment with SACSCOC processes.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:There are no supervisory responsibilities forthis position at this time.
