Vice President, IT Audit, Risk, and Controls for Front Office Technology

Lawrence Harvey are partnered with a leading global financial institution who are seeking a VP IT Audit, Risk, and Controls for Front Office Technology. This role involves ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of IT risk management and controls within a dynamic Front Office IT environment. The specialist will collaborate with stakeholders such as IT teams, auditors, and risk management groups to identify, assess, and mitigate IT risks. The position offers an opportunity to shape the strategic direction of IT risk management within a leading financial organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and challenge the FO-IT risk and control framework in alignment with regulatory requirements, while driving strategic improvements in processes, tools, and standards
• Work with IT teams, auditors, and risk management groups to evaluate technologies and processes, facilitate audits, address findings, and ensure continuous improvement
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of risk policies and reporting mechanisms, offering actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Monitor and assess potential IT risks and vulnerabilities, staying updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in financial services

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years experience in IT audit, risk management, or information security within the financial services industry
• Strong understanding of IT risks and controls
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, CSISC)
