Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A. seeks a Vice President in New York, New York Analyze the portfolio risk with each lending business, conduct stress loss analysis, calculate CECL reserves, and collaborate with other areas within the Firm to manage and analyze the risk pipeline. Coordinate CRE and Warehouse Lending stress testing model runs and analyze results for regulatory stress tests with Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), ongoing business-as-usual stress loss estimates (including climate risk) and Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) reserve calculations, reviewing top level and loan level detailed allowance and stress testing results for reasonability and accuracy. Coordinate the estimation of portfolio and product-level stress loss limits for the ISG Lending portfolio. Determine and implement enhanced process and risk infrastructure improvements, align practices across difference models and products, enhance controls and review and edit model and procedure documentation. Develop and present stress loss results, stress test scenario updates, Limit Long exercise results, and management and model overlay assessment to senior management and Review and Challenge meetings. Responsible for data aggregation, reporting and presentations, and performing ad-hoc stress loss runs related to pipeline deals, including unusual deals with complex structure. Perform ad-hoc requests by product owners and business units to respond to regulatory questions from the US Federal Reserve and The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), including CCAR result analysis. Coordinate and present audit walk-throughs, evidence requests and action plans for CCAR and CECL. Manage a team of junior staff through assigning tasks/projects, mentoring on career development, setting targets and training on an ongoing basis. Collaborate in developing climate risk stress testing methodology and practices for the CRE Lending portfolio. Salary : Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $154,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs. Requirements : Requires a Master's degree in Quantitative Finance, Finance, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an Associate, Analyst, or a related role. Requires two (2) years of experience with: CECL and IFRS 9 credit loss accounting standards; CCAR and DFAST regulatory framework; Stress testing; Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans and lending related commitments; Excel including data lookups and transformations; SQL for data extraction and analysis; Explaining complex topics in a concise manner for management consumption; Climate risk stress testing on real estate portfolios; and Managing a team of at least one subordinate and directing their work product.
