Vice President, Account Executive Team Leader in the Commercial Lines practice is responsible for running all aspects of the Commercial Lines AE team/ personnel and Book of Business assigned to them. You will focus on developing operational tools and identifying opportunities to improve service capabilities with our customers, overseeing placement of new renewal business, as well as driving overall client retention and growth. You will be responsible for leading your AE Team, including all Account Executives and staff members. This will include mentoring, training and development. You will ensure the team meets service standards and utilizes Best Practices developed by HUB.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage Account Executives and Assistants for the servicing of clients
+ Reports to SVP Team Leader of Commercial Lines, Melville Office **_(Attend in office 3 days per week, 2 days Melville / 1 day New York City)._**
+ Weekly meetings with division to manage the entire book of business
+ Assist staff with the preparation and participation in weekly Critical Path meetings
+ Communicate with Senior management to identify problems and discuss strategy and execution for clients in jeopardy
+ Oversee the division's file management and Audit resolution procedures
+ Contribute information and ideas during client strategy/PRISM (pre-renewal insurance strategy meeting) sessions
+ Oversee team's management of client stewardship and deliverables
+ Maintain renewal expirations for team; ensure timely pre-renewal strategy and getting out to market to avoid any lapse in coverage.
+ Responsible for oversight of team's marketing process.
+ Oversight of preparation of submissions to carrier, including application preparation, loss analysis and other pertinent information for professional, quality new and renewal submissions.
+ Work in conjunction with HUB's Marketing team to assist with strategy and effective marketing of accounts.
+ Oversee appropriate carrier interaction and follow-up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies. Ensure quotes are obtained - team must analyze and compare carrier quotes for proper coverages, terms, and conditions.
+ Make insurance program recommendations.
+ Identify and encourage cross-sale opportunities for the Account Executives
+ Adhere to Commercial Lines Best Practices, including written confirmation of new and renewal binding, evidence of coverage, changes to coverage and other related items.
+ Have team prepare proposals and summaries of insurance, as needed.
+ Assist team to respond to market questions in a timely and professional manner
+ Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
+ Provide direction to clients in submitting first reports of claims, facilitate prompt response from carrier.
+ Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages in coordination with Sales Executive / Account Executive
+ Support HUB International's policies that promote a safe and inclusive environment for staff. Ensure that everyone understands the expectation regarding behavior and interacting with colleagues and clients with respect, equality, and inclusion.
+ Work closely with Human Resources to ensure proper diversity training or advise of any behavioral issues within the team or with other departments.
+ Coordinate with Executive Vice President of Commercial Lines on strategic initiatives and compliance matters.
+ Organize educational sessions for the Team with Industry, Specialty, and Coverage experts and encourage knowledge development
+ Meet with SVP of Commercial Lines and HR Director regarding issues related to staffing, disciplinary action, promotions, and Annual Performance Reviews of Commercial staff.
+ Communicate effectively with management to discuss appropriate course(s) of action.
+ Provide technical expertise (knowledge of insurance coverages and products, staying abreast on industry updates and changes) to Account Executive(s); specifically, in analyzing client's needs, coverage forms and quotations on new and renewal business.
+ Identify operational efficiencies and bring them to the attention of the Chief Operations Officers and EVP Commercial Lines Long Island.
**Qualifications:**
+ College degree or equivalent work experience
+ Minimum of 10 years experience in brokerage, consulting, or insurance company
+ Experience supervising and leading a team consisting of account executives and assistants
+ Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills
+ Computer literate in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Highly detail-oriented
+ Ability to multi-task
+ Must have valid P&C license
The expected pay range for this position is $215,000 to $235,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope, and level.
