Overview Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and partnering with Executive Leadership, the Vice President, Total Rewards is responsible for the design, development and implementation of comprehensive total reward programs that align with BBG's strategy and vision. In addition, this role will have broader responsibilities to include helping drive the strategy, implementation and continued transformation of the overall Human Resources initiatives that will propel the company forward. Responsibilities Direct the design, development, implementation, and administration of all total rewards programs including, but not limited to, rewards, pay-for-performance, compensation philosophy and structure, executive compensation, market competitiveness, health and welfare benefits, and job description creation and maintenance. Develop materials for the Board of Managers and Compensation Committee presentations. Evaluate and assess current rewards programs and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness of current methods and strategies ensuring alignment with corporate goals, strategy, and vision. Ensure that programs incorporate best practices, are creative and innovate design concepts and are cost effective. Collaborate and partner with leadership and management to understand their issues related to compensation, benefits and other reward programs and key challenges in rewarding, motivating, and retaining employees; develop innovative solutions to address these issues. Build and maintain a market competitive compensation structure that is continuously being evaluated as business conditions and the overall market/industry landscape change. Provide input into the development and implementation of a comprehensive communication strategy for total rewards programs. Responsible for regular review and refresh of all compensation, benefits and HRIS related policies and procedures and overall associated governance. Assess and develop overall HR tools, processes and reporting capabilities to better align with the overall short- and long-term business goals, strategy and objectives. Manage and develop vendor relationships and drive the decision-making processes on all vendor proposals, ensuring plans are cost effective and drive high-performance results. Ensure proper benefits and compensation administration and compliance with all Federal and State/Provincial laws and regulations. Participation in the HR Leadership team and collaboration across all HR functions. Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience Minimum of 10 years' experience in Compensation and Benefits Board level reporting experience and demonstrated experience driving meaningful change in a collaborative fashion. Experience owning and driving HR transformational initiatives. A leadership style characterized by straightforwardness, approachability, team orientation and collaboration. A passion for innovation, as demonstrated by working first within the existing organization to understand current processes, an ability to maximize the current structure and then influence change as required. In-depth knowledge of compensation practices for geographically dispersed corporate, sales, and warehouse roles, including expertise in job evaluation methods, executive compensation, incentive programs, and a strong understanding of federal and state laws governing benefits. Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software. Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines Analytic and Reporting skills Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree Proficiency with HRIS Workday Background in a family-owned business Familiarity with Canadian benefits and compensation CEBS, CCP, CBP or SPHR certification Proven track record of serving as a strategic partner delivering exceptional business results. Excellent at managing competing priorities/projects and setting clear direction for direct team to deliver on time and on budget initiatives. Experience in design and administration of total rewards initiatives.
