Job Description The Position The Vice President, Ad Sales Marketing NBC Olympics is responsible for working with key NBC Olympic stakeholders to market and increase the sales of the Olympic Games on all the platforms of NBC Olympics. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of NBC Olympics, this person will act as a conduit between the Olympic Programming, Production, Marketing, Legal, Research, and Sales teams. S/he will work with Sales to both effectively translate a brands/clients needs into actionable 360 marketing solutions as well as understand the Olympic on-air and digital editorial initiatives into sellable opportunities. This person will help drive sales across linear, digital, mobile and social platforms with a firm understanding of how to navigate a sponsors need within these spaces. In addition to NBC Olympic media assets, this person will also be involved in the sales process of US based Olympic IP rights for the Olympic Games of 2026 and 2028. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage a team of accomplished media sales marketing employees focused on selling an array of NBC Olympic assets Oversee the development of presentation materials capturing the positioning and strategy of our Olympic Sales efforts within the NBCU Portfolio of assets Lead big idea generation for all platforms which includes discussion with editorial and production regularly to ensure concept feasibility and delivery Generate new sales opportunities: Create multi-platform and standalone programs as well as working within Marketing team to build high-interest 360 experiences that are customized to fit specific client objectives Create, socialize and execute packaging strategies identifying Olympic opportunities across multi-platforms. Using Research to identify and support Sales initiatives with key targets Be the key liaison between Ad Sales and Client & Agency Marketing teams while facilitating regular communications with internal departments including Production, Programming, Marketing (plus Social) and external customers (Brand teams) Liaise and ideate with NBC Olympics Digital & Social team on sponsor activations and opportunities Steward sold programs from ideation to execution and recap phase for all Pre/In-Games/Post Game activity Qualifications Required Qualifications: Minimum twelve (12) years of media sales and marketing experience at either agency, client, sports league or media company Professional experience with sports partnerships and proven understanding of sports rights landscape Strong understanding of the streaming and programmatic marketplace Demonstrates understanding and experience with advertising/promotions on all platforms including Linear TV and both established and emerging social platforms Knowledge of standard media measurement tools and research including, but not limited to: Nielsen, Mendelsohn, MRI, Simmons, CMR, Repucom, IAG, Comscore, Insight Express Ability to travel (up to 20%) including longer increments during the Olympic Games Highly Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop and Excel Desired Characteristics: Knowledge of the Olympic landscape preferred, with an understanding of market trends, innovative activation, and executional strategies Solutions-oriented thinker who can operate within a cross-platform organization Experience creatively selling big marketing platforms directly to Clients History of successfully multi-tasking across numerous projects Ability to translate advertiser objectives into programmable elements from concept to execution Knowledge and comprehension of streaming technologies at a strategic level including: Best in class streaming practices & Streaming and Social measurement Proven ability to manage projects with multiple logistical challenges Demonstrates excellent oral, written and presentation skills Proven ability to present to large groups Ability to effectively interact with senior-level management, both internally and externally Bachelors Degree Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
