The Vice President of Logistics is responsible for managing the Logistics Operations across all distribution locations including inventory control for all finished goods and after-market parts for the organization. This position demonstrates the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with all internal stakeholders and external customers to meet or exceed service level commitments. The Corporate Logistics Operations Leader is also responsible for delivering targeted KPIs, budget forecasts and capable of identifying best practices involving process, talent and technologies that drives continuous improvement throughout their organization. The position is responsible for ensuring all safety protocols are implemented and followed. May include: •Establish & maintain a strategic and operational vision extending out at least 5 years to support the organizations growth •Ability to coach and be game changer, inspiring the Logistics Operations team to give their best continuous improvement efforts in reaching departmental goals and initiatives •Lead and support cross-functional project management such as facility startups and business specific initiatives •Set the tone for operational excellence for servicing the Logistics Operations internal and external customer needs •Analyze performance data for the purpose of driving key decisions and performance to improve the logistics operation •Proactively deploy best practices seeking standardization across processes, systems and tools for all warehouse and distribution centers •Accountable for achieving an annual operating and expense budget of approx. $65M •Responsible for the staging and loading of 37K annual truckloads •Responsible for approx. 22K+ SKUs of finished goods and parts inventory in the DCs. •Manage multiple high volume multi-shift DC operations & locations with total square footage of 4M+ sq. ft •Manage the logistics operations team to meet or exceed internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) •Manage Regional Directors Logistics Operations, Senior Managers Logistics Operations, Managers Logistics Operations, Logistics Operations Supervisors •Monitor and hold logistics operations accountable for maintaining a safety culture that meets or exceeds annual safety targets •Partner with the Logistics Engineering group to identify new technologies leading to improved efficiencies •Other duties as assigned by the Senior VP Logistics Nature & Scope: •Establishes the vision, mission, values and long-term strategies for a division/department •Provides guidance and leadership to implement transformational change that has broad impact on the achievement of results for the entire organization •Expected to interact with all levels of the organization especially with top management •Ensures appropriate talent selection, organization and leadership areas of the organization •Possess knowledge to capably lead multiple teams of directors •Has ownership of budget development and monitoring of expenses •Level of signing authority established by company policy/guidelines Knowledge & Skills: •Proven track record in logistics operations management •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite •Excellent business acumen and strong leadership skills •Experience assessing data to identify key business indicators that drive results •Ability to inspire and develop others •Experience in a process improvement system where key performance indicators are continuously evaluated, redefined as needed, and process improvements implemented •Ability to identify trends from review of data and information that affect (or could affect) performance •Experience developing and managing budgets and achieving success with budget targets •Excellent communication and presentation skills before diverse audiences •Ability to work cross functionally within the organization and with a complex and diverse set of stakeholders •Experience leading teams to high level performance •Ability to articulate issues, consequences, and options to or for the executive leadership team Experience: •15 years of experience leading a large logistics network with multiple distribution centers and transportation network including P&L responsibility •10 years of experience of people management Education/Certification: •Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
