About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Medical Affairs in the General Medicine Franchise. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving the strategy and execution of medical affairs programs and functions related to general medicine assets in clinical development. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team in the planning and execution of medical affairs studies, with a focus on phase IV (post-marketing) studies, and will serve as a thought partner with clinical development and commercial colleagues. The role also involves oversight of programs essential for the medical introduction and support of new products during commercialization. The Vice President will be a key representative of medical affairs, providing deep therapeutic area expertise, and will be expected to maintain high standards of compliance, ethics, and patient safety.Applicants for this role at the company should be board-certified physicians with a strong preference for those with expertise in multiple therapeutic areas. A minimum of 10 years' pharmaceutical experience, with a focus on medical affairs and global drug launches, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams and successful collaboration across various groups. Experience in rare diseases is a valuable attribute.
