About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP of Foundation Giving to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the institutional giving program, with a focus on cultivating and managing relationships with a diverse network of private, family, community, and corporate foundations, as well as government agencies. This role is pivotal in contributing to the organization's annual fundraising goal and requires a strategic and entrepreneurial approach to secure significant financial support for the company's mission. The VP will be expected to be a key ambassador, actively engaging in the development of new partnerships and ensuring the organization's work is effectively communicated to current and prospective funders.Candidates for the VP of Foundation Giving position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' fundraising experience, with a proven track record of securing grants in the $100K - $1M range. A deep understanding of the national community of institutional funders supporting social impact issues, particularly in the LGBTQ community, is essential. The role demands a high level of professionalism, superior organizational and project management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at making persuasive presentations, and will have a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and experience in a similar high-profile nonprofit setting is a must.
