Energy Consulting Group, LLC, a power and natural gas consulting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a qualified energy professional for the position ofVice President of Member Services. This role is responsible for the results and provides leadership of long-term wholesale power forecasts and modeling, modeling and report development of wholesale business operations, middle office, billing, contract administration, and information technology. Designs and implements employee development plans for all departmental employees. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding business and personnel matters. Represents CEI during CEO's absence.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provides leadership of the company's long-term wholesale power forecasting and modeling.
  • Oversee the development of the 10-year wholesale power cost forecast presented to Members and utilized for hedging decisions.
  • Oversee the design and implementation requirements of the model and database changes to maintain and improve long-term wholesale power forecasting.
  • Oversees the completion of analyses of power supply requirements to reliably and economically meet Member load obligations and presents analyses and recommendations to the CEI board.Provides leadership of the company's middle office responsibilities.
    • Oversee the design and implementation of risk controls, processes and procedures related to the company's commodity and credit risk exposure. Ensure reporting is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.Provides leadership of the company's billing function.
      • Oversee the completion of billing to Members and third parties in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with contractual requirements.
      • Ensure reporting to Members and executive staff is completed in an accurate and timely manner.Provides leadership of the company's contract administration and information technology functions.
        • Oversee the negotiation and development of contract terms for company agreements including third-party enabling agreements, wholesale power purchase and sales agreements, natural gas transportation, confidentiality agreements and administrative agreements.
        • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to in the contract development and approval process.Presents departmental information and recommendations requiring approval to the CEI board.Develop and maintain employee development and performance plans for direct reports.
          • Develop and maintain employee development plans for departmental employees.
          • Complete performance reviews with direct reports at least once per year.Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.Qualifications:Knowledge and Skills
            • Must be responsible for the confidentiality and integrity of information available to executives and data of a highly sensitive nature.
            • Well organized with excellent interpersonal skills, grammar, business writing, and verbal communication.
            • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and assignments, and the ability to conduct work efficiently in an independent, self-directed manner with limited supervision.Education and Work Experience
              • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related field. Master's degree in business administration or engineering preferred.
              • Ten years of energy industry experience and prior supervisory experience required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
