Your Opportunity

Scion is the leader in off-campus student housing communities globally and a sector leader in leveraging analytics to drive business performance. We are seeking a Vice President of Revenue Management to build and lead our Revenue Management organization.

The Vice President of Revenue Management will report to the Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and is based in our Chicago central office.

Your Responsibilities

People and Team Management

  • Lead a high-performing team comprised of Revenue Management and Market Intelligence professionals.
  • Work in close coordination with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Advisory teams to formulate strategy, monitor performance, and advance critical initiatives.
  • Serve as liaison to the broader organization, championing data-driven decision making & adoptions of Scion Intelligence, the company's proprietary Business Intelligence Platform.

Functional Operations

  • Lead annual portfolio revenue planning process, coordinating closely with Analytics, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance & other relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee development and execution of yield strategies that maximize market share & profitability per bed across all revenue streams.
  • Lead Executive & SMR-O engagement strategy, ensuring that relevant parties are kept appraised of emerging trends and updated projections.
  • Lead strategic initiatives designed to maximize business performance and drive technology & process innovation.
  • Serve as industry expert for market trends, leading evaluation of market conditions, supply & demand dynamics, and yield potential.
  • Partner with Investment & Advisory teams to evaluate market potential, advise on best practices, and core functionality of revenue management tools.
  • Drive improvement in execution KPIs including planning and forecast accuracy, rate override ratios, etc.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Revenue Management with progressive leadership experience.
  • Experience in student housing, multi-family, or other relevant lodging sectors.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration & strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficient in communication & public speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Revenue Management Systems, Property Management Systems.

Operational Details

  • Job location is based at Scion's Chicago corporate headquarters.
  • Working hours consist of standard daytime business hours.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000-$220,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
