Overview of the Vice President of Operations role The Vice President of Operations will utilize knowledge of value-based care, population health models, capitated risk arrangements, quality, performance management, program development and implementation, and be very skilled in overall operations and execution. A successful candidate will be able to harness their deep understanding of the health care environment to drive outcomes within program models, meet key performance indicators outlined by clients, and engage staff to solve market specific problems. Responsibilities of the Vice President of Operations
- Lead and manage the performance of Wayspring's SUD Home solution in partnership with multiple health plans across the state of Kentucky
- Responsible for P&L management and program outcomes, partnership opportunities, in-market initiatives and overall value delivered to health plan clients in partnership with shared services
- Partner with care delivery team for solutions, adjusting target areas of focus for performance management, adjusting staffing needs and engagement strategy as necessary to meet performance targets
- Partner with centralized shared services teams to develop insights on operating performance, delivery of clinical outcomes, and opportunities for improved execution and ongoing advancement of solutions
- Ensure all market operations are meeting or exceeding clinical targets and goals, SLAs, and KPIs; if not, ensure there is strong action plans in place to get back to goal
- Partner with other providers in the state for workflow integration and collaboration in our at risk population.
- Exude strong communication skills both internally across matrix leaders, teams and externally with client stake holders
- Participate in the healthcare professional community as needed to maintain Wayspring representation and maintain knowledge of the health care landscape
Requirements & Preferred Qualifications
- Deep operational experience in healthcare organizations (risk arrangements, population health care model, value-based provider operations, care management), minimum of ten years
- Strong operational execution skills, proven track record reaching goals and delivering outcomes
- Master's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare or equivalent experience preferred
- Demonstrated domain expertise with a clear understanding of healthcare workflows and practical use of information, experience with practice transformation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Inspirational leader - able to lead teams to success
- Ability to work directly in both team and individual settings, including working directly with customers
