This position is a part of the Central Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) team within the Finance organization of Citi. The RRP team supports a range of high-profile regulatory initiatives central to the safety and soundness of the firm and bank. In particular, the RRP team is responsible for the development, oversight and maintenance of the 165(d) and Insured Depository Institution (IDI) Resolution Plans and the Citigroup and CBNA Recovery Plans. Additionally, this team is responsible for facilitating or advising international regulatory requirements and inquiries related to the firm and bank's Recovery and Resolution strategies.
This position will be responsible for driving the strategy and structure of specific content within the Recovery Plans and Resolution Plans, including content related to material legal entities (MLE), core business lines (CBL), critical operations (CO), global functions (GF) and the execution of the annual designation process. This position will also be responsible for facilitating central reviews of international recovery plans and responses to host regulatory inquiries.
Communicating complex ideas through the development of concise presentations to senior management and regulators is critical. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to develop a level of subject matter expertise within RRP, play an integral role in one of Citi's key strategic priorities, and have significant exposure to senior management and regulators. The candidate will be given the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of many key facets of Citi, including direct interaction with senior executives responsible for Citi's legal entity structure, product offerings, business franchises, functional teams, balance sheet and liquidity management, capital, M&A, derivatives, and other operations and functions across the firm globally.
While this is a Finance position, the RRP team has significant engagement with operations and technology, financial and risk reporting, businesses (Markets, Services, Banking, Wealth and USPB), jurisdictional legal regimes and bankruptcy laws; financial market utilities, and the regulatory considerations of home and host jurisdictions in which Citi operates. The candidate will support these efforts by leveraging their analytical skills to better articulate and present the various assumptions and outputs supporting Citi's regulatory strategies and capabilities.
