Focus areas include People strategy and performance management, Cost Management, Strategy and Planning, Oversight of CAO, CCO and Transformation and other services being provided by Digital Business Services (DBS), Organizational design, discreet and non-transformation/strategic projects, facilitate strategic decisions and mediate across Senior stakeholders within Global Business (GB), Global Functions (GF) and Digital Business Services (DBS), mitigating risks and issues as they arise; and Communications. As our Vice President Risk and Compliance Chief of Staff Office you will:Strategic cost management and execution with support from DBS CAO function who provide CAO reporting/production services to the R&C COS team. This includes the development of related transformation plans and managing their seamless executionPeople strategy and resourcing including onshore / offshore footprint oversight, HAT (hiring approval) process oversight, Offshoring oversight (new HATs, HAT replacements, offshore resourcing re-migration; migration documentation, HR interaction, Group interaction, etc.); Capacity and Capability Assessments. This includes the development and execution of a people and engagement plan for R&COversee and manage internal governance and program frameworks (committees/meetings, actions and submissions) – and support delivery of internal governance including Risk SLT meetings, R&C Leadership Forums and R&C Leadership offsitesDevelop/manage the function's performance scorecards (KPIs) to ensure project milestones, budgets, resources and employee engagement aspirations are met, implementing mitigating actions as appropriateSupport/implement the continuing development or evolution of the function's operating model and organizational design to ensure the business operates increasingly effectively and efficiently and is able to deliver HSBC's strategic goalsOversight of internal controls and services provided by the DBS CCO function: risk, control assessment, and issues management, including liaison with stakeholders to define required actions, and to provide oversight on progressSupport the oversight and execution of other strategic projects that arise from time to time – both R&C specific and broader US/ Group initiatives that have an impact on the US R&C function and operating modelFor this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $116,200.00 and $200,000.00The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.At HSBC, our overall goal is to provide a competitive Total Reward Package, with an appropriate mix of fixed pay, and variable pay, as part of an employee's overall total compensation and benefits. Additionally, HSBC offers a wide range of competitive and flexible benefits designed to help you improve your health and well-being, finances, and lifestyle.QualificationsYoull likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:10-12 years of relevant industry experienceAbility to present compelling arguments and insight to management to support business decisionsAbility to distil data including and into clear narratives, themes and issues while navigating complexity/ambiguity and unstructured informationProven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in clear languageClear record of managing and delivering high number of competing tasks/work streams in a fast-paced environmentSound understanding of cost management including financial planning and cost performanceTrack record in working/collaborating with very senior stakeholders to deliver positive outcomesStrong knowledge of transformation / change frameworks and performance improvement methodologiesSound understanding of Risk and Compliance functions, risk taxonomy, risk management frameworks, and key processes and its role as a 2nd line function in both enabling the business and fulfilling the firm's risk management responsibilitiesPrior experience in business management / Strategy / COO functions in a global business or corporate function (GB/GF) in a risk/finance environment is a significant advantage.
