The anticipated start date is June 2, 2025; however, this is negotiable. Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide range of outdoor recreation activities. Morehead State University delivers a strong and affordable education for friendly, ambitious students who thrive in a student-focused learning environment defined by small class sizes and faculty committed to teaching and student success.RESPONSIBILITIES: The Vice President for Student Affairs provides executive-level leadership and vision in the administration of a comprehensive range of services, policies and procedures related to student affairs programming, planning and strategically related functions. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President for Student Affairs serves as a member of the President's senior leadership team. The Vice President provides strategic and innovative leadership, as well as guidance and oversight of student support, growth and development services, student programming, enrollment management and other programs. The Vice President for Student Affairs participates in all aspects of institution-wide planning in support of the mission and goals of the university, including meeting the needs of a general student population and creating a learning environment where all students have the opportunity to succeed.Units reporting to this position include undergraduate recruitment and enrollment services, student financial aid, school relations, first and second year programs, student activities and student organizations, housing and residence life, university police, counseling and health services, recreation and wellness, student conduct, student center and event services, university police, and intercollegiate athletic programs.REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree from an accredited institution, with at least eight years of increasingly responsible leadership experience in a student affairs division. Four years or more of experience at the level of director or above in an area within the division.
