The Global Government Affairs group within the General Counsel's Organization seeks a Vice President (VP), U.S. Regulatory Relations – Reporting and Quality Assurance. As the principal intermediary between American Express and the supervisory personnel of its federal banking regulators, the U.S. Regulatory Relations (USRR) team plays a critical strategic role driving a cohesive approach to supervision, including by identifying focus areas of the regulators across engagements and preparing company leadership for interactions with supervisory personnel. The Reporting and Quality Assurance team within USRR is responsible for reporting on regulatory matters to a range of critical stakeholders, including senior company leadership, as well as quality assurance testing to ensure adherence to performance standards in supervisory engagements.
As head of the Reporting and Quality Assurance team, the successful candidate will play a central role in cascading awareness of regulatory developments and focus areas through a steady stream of reporting on supervisory activity and trends. To gather critical information and insights, this individual will collaborate closely with colleagues from USRR who directly support regulatory engagements, as well as the Regulatory Exam Lifecycle Management (RELM) team within Global Risk & Compliance and the Internal Audit Group (IAG).
