Video Production Intern

The Wine Enthusiast Video Department is seeking a Video Production Intern to create content for social media, commerce, and advertising videos. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain all aspects of content production, from start to finish. A majority of content produced in this position will be for vertical video.

The ideal candidate will have strong video editing and organizational skills while being within traveling proximity of the Wine Enthusiast headquarters in Valhalla, NY. This is a part time position. Working hours range between 9am - 4pm EST. Camera skills are a bonus for this role, but not required.

We are looking for an individual that can intercept a creative video request and swiftly bring the idea to life before its deadline. This producer should be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite.

Required skills:

  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Media Encoder)
  • Ability to follow style guidelines and design
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with colleagues across departments
  • Keen eye for attention to detail
  • Able to take criticism and feedback on assigned projects
  • Familiar with operating DSLR cameras
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Experience with motion graphics and visual effects (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is a plus.
  • Passion for wine & spirits and the video industry alike
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new techniques and skills

Responsibilities:

  • Complete & edit videos on a weekly basis
  • Help manage and update Monday board to stay on track of video production workflow
  • Process a video request form and bring an idea to life
  • Pitch innovative ideas to sell products or expand awareness of the brand
  • Assist other video producers and social media managers with video projects in the queue
  • Help with subtitle captioning on requested projects
  • Work closely with our sponsored advertising team to help ideate and edit videos
  • Research trending audio and sounds to help with the creation of new content

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Moderate experience of video editing, preferably with a creative or marketing agency
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in film or communications-related degree
  • Working knowledge in popular social media platforms via. TikTok & Instagram
  • Editing commercial product videos is a big bonus
  • Proficiency in videography is a bonus
