Videography/Production Editor - GALCO INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS : Job Details

Galco Industrial Electronics, Inc., located in Madison Heights, Michigan, is a leading provider of industrial and commercial electrical and electronic controls, automation and motion products, repair, and engineering services. Galco serves commercial and industrial businesses, contractors, government agencies, institutions, and utilities across the country. We are currently looking for a Videography/Production Editor for our Madison Heights office. This position is full time on site. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create engaging studio-quality videos highlighting products, brands, services, and other video types for company website and various social media platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with DSLR cameras.
• Utilize video editing software and tools to enhance visual appeal, optimize video quality, and incorporate sound design and special effects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality videos while maintaining attention to detail.
• Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency and relevancy.
• Monitor social media and video platform analytics to assess viewer engagement and effectiveness of different content types.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase subscriber count and enhance engagement across all platforms.
• Regularly interact with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, and moderate comments to foster a positive community environment.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in social media and video content to ensure relevance and impact.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Communications or related field
• 2+ years of experience in video production and editing with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
• Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and grammar
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience with keyword research
• Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
• Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project and the ability to bring them to life
• Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects
• Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
• Ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals to supply top-notch finalized products
