As a Quality Technician/Vision Inspection Programmer, you will be inspecting component materials to the tolerances called for in the blueprints and to confirm that all specifications required by the purchase order have been met. This position will have a direct impact in creating the PSEMC Chandler Visual Inspection work cell. Create vision inspection programs based on established inspection criteria. Support engineering staff during new product development and non-conformance findings. Verify machine program(s) with other sources of inspection, open set-up etc. Run inspection programs and update if needed. This position is not for SMT. This position requires you to pay close attention to detail and experience with a wide variety of mechanical components. More specifically, in this role, you will:Program and operate OGP Smart Scope and Keyence IM series visual inspection machines.Responsible for adhering to internal command media while performing job responsibilities.Perform dimensional and visual inspections using basic equipment and established procedures with minimum supervision of a higher inspector or supervisor (Use of RIOS and Visual Inspection Plans).Interpret basic drawings and instructions.Use a variety of precision measuring instruments including an optical comparator.Must be dedicated to the quality function and possess a drive to enhance the quality of both the product and processes.Be able to adapt to the use of new equipment and learn new products.Perform other related duties and be flexible in the factory plant as assigned or business need.Generate and perform Verification activities on Non-Conforming Material Reports.Perform First Article Inspections as Required.Perform Surveillance Audits as required.Exposure to machines, electronic and componentry is desired.Support Overtime as required or scheduled by Building FFM's or Supervisor.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications - External/internal:Must have computer skills including the use of MS Suite and an ability to be comfortable using ERP/MRP applications.High integrity, discipline and be a team player.If required, attend offsite training classes to maintain certification requirements.IPC 600, 610 and JStandard certification preferred.Must be comfortable sitting for periods of time.Experience with Keyence IM series programming and operation, and/or experience with OGP smart scope programming and operation utilizing Measure X and/or Zone 3 software.Strong understanding and application of GD&T, specifically Y-14.5 '82 and '94.Have familiarity and experience with developing, testing, and error proofing programs for vision system(s).Knowledge and use of traditional inspection equipment.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 3 years' related experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
