What you will do: The Tillamook Brand Ambassador will first and foremost guide tours and experiences and provide best guest experiences in every other aspect. The candidate is courteous, helpful, enthusiastic individual with extraordinary guest service skills who assist all guests in our fast-paced Tillamook Creamery Visitor Center. This position will learn in-depth knowledge about Tillamook Creamery history and operations to bring the best Tillamook's brand experience to life. Conducting tours, assisting guests, and helping with special events are some ways that the Brand Ambassadors champion the roles and responsibilities. The Brand Ambassador maintains Tillamook's Shared Values, creating a world-class guest experience to the one million guests that visit annually, and supports in the Creamery's daily operations.Here's a day in the life:
  • Guide guests in tour and experiences inside the Creamery as well as the Red Barn.
  • Give directions and guide large groups of people in tour and experiences.
  • Be on the Creamery's floor including retail, IC, Café, and the Viewing Deck to greet guests; assist guests with questions about our company, cheese making process, products, and brand. Help with product selection through suggestive selling and endorsements
  • Check-in guests for tours/experiences and help guests with booking purchases, booking adjustments, and tour/experience related questions.
  • Prepare and clean-up for tours/experiences at the Cape Lookout room and the Guest Experiences area of the Red Barn. Including, but not limited to, dishwashing trays, cutting cheese, building gifts, wipe down different surfaces, car detailing, and restocking supplies.
  • Greet and provide world-class guest experience to group tours, school groups, perform step-on, and VIP experiences as requested.
  • Answer guest questions and respond to guest complaints as best as possible and radio the manager onsite for further assistance.
  • Work with managers and/or departments to execute special events and initiatives at the Creamery. Including, but not limited to, sampling, blind taste test surveys, holiday events, and other guest experiences.
  • Perform appropriate opening and closing duties when necessary. Keep information desk and closet clean and organized. Restock brochures or booklets at the info desk.
  • Follow and perform all guest incident and accident reporting with the help of a manager.
  • Other duties as needed and assigned.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Guest service skills and brand knowledge preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in public and private environments.
  • Must be computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company.
  • Must be able to work across departments to gain knowledge and become a spokesperson of that area of expertise.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and Holidays as needed during peak attendance times.
  • Must obtain and provide a Food Handler's Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Must attend and successfully pass TCCA's First Responder and CPR class.
  • Under manager discretion, obtain an OLCC based on department needs (18 years of age)
