Technicolor Creative Services USA, Inc has a role in New York, NYVisual Effects Supervisor: DUTIES: Act as the primary contact with organization's clients on visual effects (vfx) projects. Understanding needs and disseminating all relevant tasks to the internal team in an efficient manner. Lead the team of compositing artists, providing support and guidance as well as collaborating with other vfx departments. Perform expert level compositing tasks. Advise and mentor junior members of the compositing team. Knowledge of color spaces and video formats. This includes working with: understanding of the vfx pipeline from film capture to finishing. Masterful skills in compositing applications and knowledge of 3D applications; knowledge of rendering and compositing multi channel exr files; cinematic eye for detail; commercial advertising environment experience; knowledge of flame or nukestudio timeline management tools; ability to conform and deliver edits; and communication skills with clients in tight pressure situations. International travel required 15% of the time.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Animation, Film, Visual effects, or related field and 5 years of visual effects experience to involve: (1) understanding of the VFX pipeline from film capture to finishing and in compositing applications and knowledge of 3D applications; (2) knowledge of rendering and compositing multi channel exr files with cinematic eye for detail; and commercial advertising environment experience.
