**Visual Merchandiser Lead**

**in Little Canada, MN**

**(Regular Full Time)**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

* Creating displays

* Mass merchandise displays

* Accurate coordination and physical receipt of all new merchandise transfers to the showroom assisted by; the Merchandise Coordinator, the in-showroom management team, and the HOM Furniture distribution center.

* Maintain merchandise placement guide located on the department computer.

* As needed for inventory control, create merchandise tags on the system along with price tags for the customers convenience. Perform all lighting process including the showroom and display maintenance.

* Basic furniture repair and touch up as needed.

* Prior to new merchandise placement in the showroom, as company policy states must clean the area from the floor up.

* Inventory responsibilities include zone placement accuracy, cycle scans, year-end inventory counts and complete showroom inventory counts.

* Responsible for Loss Prevention issues

* Maintain showroom appearance with assistance from other members of the team.

* Performance of other related duties as required and/or assigned.

* Receiving accessory transfers, purchase orders and direct shipments.

* Assembly of accessories

* Order parts as necessary from Customer Service department

* Order parts and charge back to vendor as needed.

* General product care

* Print and place price cards/cts

* AS400 functions including SKU and control tag inquiries.

* Access HOM Intranet and email as needed.

* Safety issues such as correct lifting techniques, ladders, and running the trash compactors (must be 18 years old).

* Some travel to other showrooms, including our outer metro locations, is required.

* Adheres to safe lifting techniques, follows proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participates in departmental stretching program, and overall maintains a safe working environment.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree (B.A.); must have or be currently working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and one to two years related experience and/or training. Language Skills Requires skills to read and interpret documents and reports for accuracy along with a demonstrated ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing. Mathematical Skills Mathematical aptitude to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure and interpret ratios and percentages. The employee is occasionally required to sit or remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects with either the entire hand or fingers, including typing. Reach with hands and arms in any direction, ascend and descend ladders and stairs using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Stooping by bending downward and forward by bending at the waist, kneeling or bending at the knees to come to a rest on knee or knees, crouching by bending the body downward and forward, or crawling by moving about on hands or hands and feet. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data or figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, and using measurement devices.

Reasoning Ability Must be able to define and solve practical problems, draw valid conclusions and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
