Job Summary
The Visual Studio Developer will be involved with all aspects of programming focus in analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining programs in a Microsoft Visual Studios environment which will supplement the ERP system (E21), manufacturing, warehouse/shipping, engineering, and management.
Essential Functions
- Maintain existing in-house software using Visual Studio.
- Design, test and develop new in-house software using Visual Studio and VB.
- Research technologies and develop plans for improvement projects.
- Ascertain IT department skills and develop a plan to cross-train members as needed.
- Provide support for user technical issues and assist with training.
- Documentation of code (current and updates), procedures and uses.
- Work with other departments to understand the needs and refinement of applications.
- Prepare and support users.
- Ability to assist with helpdesk tickets regarding hardware or software from time to time.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Basic understanding of TCP/IP and VOIP.
- Client/Server applications.
- Project management skills.
- Good time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Strong people skills, ability to interact with basic and advanced users.
- Ability to take work through high pressure situations.
- Knowledge advancement in newer programming languages to help adapt to newer technical standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (desired).
- Proficient in proper documentation of code and procedures.
Experience
- 4 years of programming experience; VB, Visual Studio, .NET frameworks.
- SQL usage and management experience.
- Windows Server 2016 and later experience.
- Visual Studio experience – a working knowledge of VB is required
Education
- Degree in Computer Science (or 2 additional years working experience in lieu of degree)
