Responsibilities
* Recruit, educate and select volunteers
* Establish a need for volunteer services and maintain monthly statistics
* Develop and maintain volunteer training and orientation
* Supervise and evaluate volunteers and maintain current personnel files
* Provide information to individuals and community groups about hospice volunteer services
* Participate in interdisciplinary group meetings
* Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
* Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
* College degree, advanced degree in human services preferred
* 2+ years experience in healthcare
* Hospice and/or volunteer experience preferred
* Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
* Ability to organize and develop volunteer hospice personnel
