VP/Director of Finance - Abacus Group, LLC : Job Details

Our client is an investment management firm. They seek a VP/Director of Finance to join their Manhattan, NY office.

• Manage a team of domestic and international finance, accounting, and operations professionals
• Oversee all aspects of fund administration, financial reporting, tax, and compliance
• Review cost segregations, distributions, waterfalls, and investor capital accounts for investors
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as well as annual tax filings and audits
• Uphold best practices for corporate financial controls and preventative risk management
• Maintain relationships with key vendors, including accountants, tax counsel, and Juniper Square
• Liaise with senior management in the exploration and launch of new business verticals
• Provide strategic direction on tax/legal structuring for new verticals and transactions
• Assess technology solutions and third-party vendors for compatibility with corporate processes
• Contribute to corporate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

• Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
• 7+ years of fund accounting experience
• REIT industry background preferred
• Combo accounting experience preferred
• Entrepreneurial, nimble, and versatile
• Organized with keen attention to detail
• CPA strongly preferred
• Skilled in Yardi
