Overview:

This is a Remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

First Citizens Healthcare Finance provides comprehensive financing and banking solutions to middle market healthcare companies across the U.S. Using a client-focused and industry-centric model, Healthcare Finance can tailor its products and services to help clients meet their needs for growth capital.

Responsibilities:
  • The VP/Director Underwritings primary role is to lead the process of assessing and approving Healthcare ABL transactions.
  • The position requires a candidate to have strong credit and collateral analytical skills, who will need to work on several transactions and be able to multi-task.
  • Prepare initial financial and business analysis as well as ability to lead due diligence process focused on credit and collateral analysis.
  • Responsible for leading the legal due diligence, loan documentation negotiations as well as closing
  • Interact proactively with Credit Management, Borrowers, Loan Operations, treasury and Closing teams, and collaborate with peers.

Vice President Sr Underwriter

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve-month analysis. OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month analysis.

Preferred

  • Education: Bachelors Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting
  • Preferred Area of Experience: Finance, Banking
  • Skill(s): Completion of a formal credit training program preferred
  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in accounting and / or banking; current role in ABL underwriting or strongly preferred (including C&I)
  • Experience in Healthcare Real Estate a plus
  • Proficiency in financial, credit and collateral / borrowing base analysis
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Formal bank credit training a plus
  • MBA or equivalent degree a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

If hired in New York City, the base pay for VP, Sr Underwriting position is generally between $160,000 and $175,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.

If hired in New York City, the base pay for the Director Underwriting position is generally between $180,000 and $200,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
