Job Description :

Our client is a prestigious, non-profit organization that has been a global leader in the media space for over 100 years. We are partnered with them to find a VP of Software Engineering, with a focus on overseeing a 20-person technology team across Salesforce Development, Integrations with their NetSuite ERP system and other enterprise applications, and Java based application development. This person should be both highly technical and a seasoned, strategic leader.

VP, Software Engineering & Salesforce

Location:

New York City – must be local and comfortable working onsite 3x per week in mid-town Manhattan.

Job Type:

Full-time. Must be based in NYC metro area, comfortable working onsite 3x per week, and eligible to work for any US employer. No sponsorship can be provided at this time.

Required Skills & Technologies:
  • 15+ years professional experience in technology, with expertise in enterprise applications, specifically Salesforce, ERPs and Java based applications
  • 7+ years in technology leadership and managing large teams
  • Experience & ability to lead a 20+ person technology team, both FTEs and consultants
  • Highly technical and ability to contribute to architecture and design across Salesforce, enterprise apps, Java-based applications, RESTful and SOAP-based web services
  • Experience hiring, growing teams, retaining top talent, and building a high performance culture
  • Experience collaborating closely with product, business users, C-level, and working cross-functionally to ensure delivery
  • Experience managing up to leadership / C-level and managing down to hands-on engineers and individual contributors
  • Experience doing large-scale Salesforce migrations and implementations
  • Strong understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD
  • Strong understanding of AWS ecosystem (Lambdas, EC2, etc.)
  • Expertise in facilitating agile environment
    • Compensation:

    The target base salary for this job is $225,000 – $250,000 (Based on experience), + Bonus
