Job Summary and Qualifications Seeking a VP of Clinical Operations for
Methodist Hospital - Metropolitan who is a Registered Nurse (R.N.) with advanced leadership skills and is responsible for the planning, implementation, and coordination of facility-based patient care and throughput. In this leadership role the VP, Clinical Services promotes collaboration among all members of the interdisciplinary team, facilitates delivery and timeliness of service, role models and promotes excellent customer service, prevents and/or resolves conflict and, overall, provides for an optimal patient care and work environment. What You Will Do In Your Role: - Serves as the primary decision maker for clinical/managerial operations and work flow, ensuring an extraordinary patient experience through the use of tools such as a bottleneck analysis, throughput simulation, and patient hand-off coordination.
- Develops strategies to advance therapeutic care in conjunction with the Medical Director, the clinic Medical Directors and other Senior Leadership.
- Consistently implements, directs, coordinates, evaluates, and modifies the delivery of patient care at the Hospital of the Future. Has appropriate knowledge of patients on all units and makes frequent rounds. Uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to adjust assignments so that patients waiting for transfer are moved in an expeditious manner to an available bed or to the next appropriate stage of the patient care continuum.
- Assigns available personnel, assesses triage assignments and makes appropriate modifications during the patient's visit as necessary. Collaborates with facility directors and managers to coordinate staffing needs for all assigned departments.
- Serves as primary resource for the Women's Services department to other nursing personnel and members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrates successful conflict resolution in a timely manner with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members. Demonstrates professionalism and consistently models excellent customer service skills.
What qualifications you will need: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
- Two years of RN direct care experience with one year in specialty.
- Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required: - Must have current RN license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.
- Must have Texas RN license within 90 days of hire.
