Job DescriptionJob Description: As a Product Manager in the global Equities Front Office Technology team, you will work in a fast-paced team setting, alongside industry experts. You will be an expert in cross-functional, end-to-end design, development and delivery of equity trading product for US-based desks that conduct global trading. You will face off with stakeholder groups that include senior management/desk heads, traders, compliance, operations, risk, developers, QA and system support personnel to scope, develop, test, deploy and support enhancements to existing equity trading systems and green field builds, You will work with the key stakeholders to maintain and prioritize the book-of-work, ensure the Development team is adhering to delivery milestones and help support the systems and enhancements as they go live. What you'll bring with You:
- 10+ years of experience in capital markets and strong knowledge & understanding of global equity trading by a US broker dealer entity
- Knowledge of developed global equity trading workflows and associated regulations is a must. Additional knowledge of APAC and LATAM ID markets and MENA markets is desirable.
- Work experience related to Cash Desk, Program Trading, DMA or Electronic Trading systems through to streetside booking and client side allocation systems is required.
- Experience with US equity SWAP trading and US listed equity option trading is a strong benefit.
- Experience conducting requirements analysis, documenting business requirements, and building functional requirements for use by developers.
- Exposure to multiple project management methodologies including, but not limited to Agile and Waterfall
- Experience in successfully delivering business and technology projects with an understanding of product development lifecycle, including strong project management skills
- Good PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, Excel and Jira skills,
- Ion Fidessa OMS, Eze EMS, and ULLINK FIX Engine exposure a strong plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to liaise across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Motivated self-starter, able to lead dynamic teams and work well on cross-team initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Program management, product management, and project management for the design, delivery and ongoing support of global equities trading by a US broker dealer that interacts with affiliated entities in other regions.
- Running large programs with senior management, front office, operations, technology, and compliance participants requiring detailed interaction with technical staff and senior business management to keep project on track.
- Drafting requirements documents for business, compliance, risk, technology, operations stakeholder groups approvals that are then used by Technology to draft technical requirements.
- Will have direct communication with trading desks (SWAPs Desk, Derivatives Desk, Cash Desk, Program Trading, DMA and Algo trading for SWAPs, Derivatives and Cash Equities) End to End Workflows, Lifecycle risk management, Operations, Middle Office, Reg/Compliance, Client Services, as well as various internal technology teams to support current businesses and build out new application/system/modules.
- Align projects and communication into project plans and resolve conflicts and escalate when needed.
- Stand-up work items and team management structure for development and support of technology platforms
- Understand client's challenges and issues; document resolution options and go forward plans.
- Work with other related and wider technology teams within Jefferies
- Conduct detailed analyses to draw conclusions and develop pertinent and insightful recommendations.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership
- Provide status reporting to management and business partners.
- Support products after going live.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required. Computer Science desirable but not required. Advanced degree a plus but not required.
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $150,000 - $200,000. The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
