Job Description:
The Vehicle Process Engineering Core, Fastening Systems/Core Launch Program Supervisor is responsible for leading the development and revision of automotive manufacturing torque tool equipment and processes. The person in this role ensures that standards are implemented and followed in every aspect of the model launch from the project's inception and design all the way through implementation and assembly. The Launch Program Supervisor will manage VPE projects, supervise union represented Engineers within UAW contract requirements and satisfy Manufacturing Quality Assurance System requirements. The Program Supervisor will interface with manufacturing, maintenance, various engineering groups, finance and purchasing. The candidate must possess superior written and verbal communication skills as well as exemplary organizational skills. May cross to other Core groups (Electrical, Alignment). Fastening knowledge preferred.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5+ years of Tooling experience
5+ years of experience in General Assembly or equivalent
Ability to lead cross functional teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication skills - both orally and in writing. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and excellent to advanced in EXCEL
Experience in torque/fastening systems
New model vehicle launch experience
Experience working with Bargaining Unit employees
Willing to travel domestically as required
Ability to work overtime as needed
