JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading/unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a forklift, reach truck, order picker or other heavy material handling equipment. The Warehouse Clerk can be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, verification, shipping/manifesting, screening, and other various duties as assigned to ensure the full and efficient operation of the warehouse. In conjunction with Safety, he/she is to ensure that compliance to the current Apria standards is maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the necessary handling procedures (both physical and written) are followed accordingly, when applicable, documented in client-level Quality Agreements, Service Level Agreements, and SOPs

  • Verify and receive materials into inventory. Marks and inventories packages for storage or transit. May also include palletizing and shrink-wrap.

  • Use MH Equipment to move, store, pick, pack, and store materials within the warehouse.

  • Works from pick sheet to pull product or supplies. Check orders against pull sheets.

  • When receiving dangerous goods, the necessary procedures must be followed, and these shipments must be stored in the designated section of the warehouse.

  • Understand and adhere to local, State, and Federal regulations inclusive, but not limited, to OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other government agencies. Certification is required to handle any hazardous material(s).

  • Elevating potential situations to the next level of supervision when required.

  • Identify and correct mistakes/inconsistencies when receiving/completing paperwork.

  • Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Ideal candidate will have prior experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.

  • The noise level in the work environment is varies based on the locations or activities proximate to which can range from low to high.

  • General lighting is generally provided via florescent lighting indoors, and natural lighting outdoors, and low light conditions consistent with outdoor and/or night working environment.

  • During off site travel events the employee may be exposed to higher noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection, with moderate potential exposure to moderate dust, chemicals, fumes, and odors, as well as cryogenic and cleaning agents.

  • During off site travel events the employee may be required to ride in company delivery vehicles and accompany employees on deliveries and enter patient homes.

  • May be required to receive vaccinations and participate in medical assessments and testing consistent with the work environment or patients exposed to.

  • Will be required to wear various personal protective equipment consistent with the hazards encountered in this role.

  • Will be required to use hand tools for assembly and repair, material handling equipment, cutting, carrying devices, cleanup kits, or equipment.

  • May be required to work with cryogenic fluids requiring special precautions and PPE.
