We are looking for you!View our Cargo Handler video here: of Pay $18.00 an hourRequired: Valid Driver's License with no restriction and Social Security CardAll hires are required to undergo and pass security clearances, 5 years employment and educational verification, background checks, drug screen and physical test.As a member of the Menzies Aviation Cargo Handling team, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing freight while practicing all Company's Safety Policy inclusive of, but not limited to wearing PPE, equipment operation, safe lifting procedures, or obeying speed limits when driving company vehicles and equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesReads air waybill, bills of landing, or freight manifest to determine the items to be moved, gathered, or distributedConveys freight from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas with forklift or transporterSorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as consignee or destinationSorts and stores dangerous good in a proper areaFill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to other locationsOpens bales, crates, and other containers for break down. Records counts of items received or distributedWeighs and counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards and air waybillPerforms cargo build-up and/or breakdowns, freight to and/or from skid, pallets or ULDsEnsures that work areas are clean and hazard free of loose nets, straps, etcMust follow all Security procedures as requiredOther duties as assignedQualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderMust have current driver's license with no violations over the past 5 years.Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physicalAbility to proficiently read, write and speak EnglishMust be able to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basisMust be comfortable working in all weather conditionsPass FBI background and obtain US Customs SealMust be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidaysPrior loading and unloading of heavy products or equipment (preferred)Forklift certification preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to learn quicklyAbility to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when neededStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to build relationshipsBenefitsAdvancement Opportunities to Lead and SupervisorMedical BenefitsFree Employee parkingDental, Vision, 401KLife and Short-Term Disability InsurancePaid TrainingUniform ProvidedWorking ConditionsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
