Job Summary
Under general supervision, this position will be responsible for overseeing the warehouse's inventory to ensure parts and products are available to operational teams, while ensuring alignment with Graniterock's Family Vision, Core Purpose, Core Values, Strategic Priorities and business objectives.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Comply, understand, and promote safety initiatives to ensure Safety Before All Else. Oversee the receiving and issuing of parts for various locations across the company, ensure accuracy of inventory in inventory tracking system. Review inventory needs and submit orders for shortages/outages to prevent plant and equipment downtime. Perform periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels. Clean and organize the warehouse to ensure safety and efficient location of parts. Participate in safety checks and compliance audits including fire extinguisher and fall protection audits. Maintain Safety Data Sheets to ensure OSHA and MSHA compliance. Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-year record keeping and/or computer inventory experience preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Mechanical or equipment parts knowledge
- Good math and communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to make independent decisions.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office and Outlook required, JD Edwards preferred
- Ability to review and understand parts manuals and catalogues.
- Ability to operate a forklift, once certified
