DescriptionThe Warehouse Associate position is responsible for moving, retrieving, pulling, loading, and unloading stock in our Corporate Warehouse. This position is also tasked with locating and palletizing product to fill store pallets, online orders, and move goods throughout the Warehouse, including the loading and unloading of trucks.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:Receives orders from the Warehouse Manager and retrieves/picks/packs goods from the warehouse.Checks packing list for accuracy and inspects collected goods.Delivers materials to routing areas for packing.Places incoming/outgoing products on shelving and/or pallets for organization/distribution.Must be able to use a standing hi-lo and pallet jack to remove/retrieve product on pallets.Counts pallets and breaks them down after use.Fulfills and processes online orders.Uses an order-picker system/sheet to pull orders when needed.Follows safety rules for the warehouse when picking an order.Loads and unloads trucks at the Warehouse.Moves stock in a manner that prevents breakage and/or product loss.Ability to ensure that strict delivery deadlines are met.Upholds all company policies and practices.Performs/completes other duties or special projects as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (required for candidates to be considered):High school diploma or equivalent.Must be 18 years of age at minimum.Ability to pass a pre-employment physical.Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including but not limited to weekends and/or holidays, based on business need.Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESAbility to operate various types of material-handling equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, pallet wraps, and hi-los.Ability to physically climb ladders and move product.Strong attention to detail, as well as strong organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively with employees, including Warehouse staff.Strong sense of urgency, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to change.Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to continuously stand/walk, push/pull, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, utilize fine finger movement (i.e., keyboard operating, writing, etc.), use speech and hearing to communicate with staff, use tactile/touch to assist with products/loading and unloading/equipment, and grasping/gripping/holding with hands and/or fingers. Must be able to frequently bend at the waist, climb/work at heights (i.e., step ladders, ladders, etc.), kneel and squat, lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds, and reach overhead with arms raised above shoulder height/forward reaching. Must be able to occasionally balance on uneven surfaces/ground, lift and/or carry up to 100 pounds. Must be able to infrequently sit/remain in a seated position during job performance. Must be able to continuously communicate with fellow employees, co-workers, delivery staff/vendors, either in-person or over the phone, including speaking, hearing, and sight in order to assist. While working, this position may be exposed to dust, cleaning agents, truck exhaust when receiving and/or unloading product, inadequate lighting at close of business, tolerance of noise from fans, products, and/or work area, tolerance of smells/scents of products (i.e., candles, potpourri, lotions, etc.), work outside, and work at heights in the stockroom or on the product floor.EMPLOYMENT STATUSThis is a regular, full-time, hourly position that is deemed non-exempt  by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and will typically work a minimum of 40 hours per week.GENERAL REQUIREMENTS & DISCLAIMERSThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people in this position.
