Position Summary This position plays a supporting role in the shipping, receiving, and distribution department. The Warehouse Associate will receive, input, sort, load, and unload products while performing various warehouse activities.

Schedule:

  • Monday -Friday, 3:00pm -11:30pm (5x8s)

or

  • Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am (4x10s)

An ideal applicant will be highly skilled, consistently punctual, and enjoy working with a variety of skilled individuals who share similar values and goals.

General Duties/Responsibilities

  • Unload materials from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places.

  • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.

  • Load outbound trucks with the correct inventory.

  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.

  • Transport raw materials to production workstations.

  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.

  • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.

  • Check, verify, and fill customer invoices.

  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.

  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment within the facilities.

  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities

  • Follow GMP policy when in the production facility and encourage your team to do the same.

  • Understand our SQF policies relating to pest control, visitors, allergen management, and cleaning and sanitation.

  • Demonstrate awareness of Management's Commitment to SQF and work towards Food Safety and Quality, helping the company meet this commitment.

  • If there is a problem that involves food quality and safety, report to the Quality Assurance Manager so that the CAPA (Corrective Action, Preventative Action) log may be filled out, the situation investigated, and resolved with the goal of continuous improvement.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment safely.

  • Ability to navigate a variety of computer software applications; previous ERP experience is a plus.

  • Ability to be self-directed and stay until tasks are completed.

  • Fully capable of updating computer-generated inventories and documents.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Team player with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum high school diploma.

  • Warehouse experience (minimum 1 year preferred).

  • Forklift certification strongly preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break; two 15-minute paid breaks.

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, climb, and reach as needed.

  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs solo and 75 lbs shared.
